The Mayhem welcomed a familiar face back to Macon on Tuesday afternoon, signing forward Dylan Denomme to a contract.

Denomme played in 40 games for the Mayhem during the 2017-18 campaign, including six post-season tilts. While in Macon, the Riverside, ON native collected a total of 28 points (13G, 15A) and 35 penalty minutes. The following season, Denomme played for Étoile Noire de Strasbourg in France’s top professional league, where he tallied 38 points (13G, 25A) in 47 total games played. He has not yet played in the 2019-20 campaign, but Mayhem Head Coach Ryan Michel assures he is more than ready to help the team win.

“We are very excited to bring Dylan back to Macon to add depth to our forward group,” Michel said. “He’s a big body who can play 200 feet and add some scoring depth.”

The timing of Denomme’s return to Macon is certainly opportune, as the Mayhem forward corps has been depleted recently by injuries, illnesses, call-ups, and team suspensions. The 26-year-old promises to bring high-level experience and leadership to the team, as well as strong goal-scoring upside. During his tenure in Macon, Denomme (6’0, 200) boasted a shooting percentage of .179, second only to Caleb Cameron in the 2017-18 season.

“I honestly wasn’t expecting to play this season and I’m happy to be back,” Denomme said. “I have some unfinished business here and I want to win. I love the fans, my old teammates, and new ones I just met. Coach [Michel] has been great communicating with me over the past few months and I’m excited to get going.”
Denomme skated with the team on Tuesday and is expected to suit up in this weekend’s home series against the Fayetteville Marksmen. He will wear the #96 for the Mayhem. For tickets to this weekend’s games, click here.
