#MiddleGeorgiaProud Night Announced for Saturday, May the 8th.

Playoffs are upon us! Come out to the Macon Centreplex to make a little noise for the boys. Game 1 against the Huntsville Havoc will be played on the road. Game 2 of the best-of-three series will be played on Saturday, May 8 at the Macon Centreplex, with a 6:30 PM EDT puck drop. Game 3 of the series, if necessary, will be at the Centreplex on Sunday, May 9, with a 4 PM EDT start time. We are going to 100% capacity for playoffs so let’s fill the Macon Centreplex up!

The MiddleGeorgiaProud hashtag has followed the team throughout the season as we have been so grateful to be back playing hockey in such a wonderful community. With all of the uncertainties and changes this past year have brought forth to our team from  COVID-19 and changes in ownership, one thing has remained the same, the passion and support for Mayhem hockey by our fans and community partners. We are very thankful for the way our community has embraced the team from day one and continues to show that passion for Mayhem hockey.

Our commitment to the Middle Georgia area has never waivered. To show our appreciation and give back to the community that has given so much to us, we have quite a few special things planned for Saturday May 8th.

On Saturday, the Macon Mayhem will warm up in specialty Beverly Knight Olson Children’s Hospital jerseys. The jerseys will then be auctioned off post-game with the benefits going to the Beverly Knight Olson Children’s Hospital. The Beverly Knight Olson Children’s Hospital enhances the lives of children through excellence in patient care, research, and education. Auction-winning fans will also be invited down to the ice to take a picture with their respective player and the Coffey Cup.

Also on Saturday, all chuck a pucks will be $2 with the proceeds going to the Brookdale Warming Center. The fan closest to the bullseye will win a team-signed Children’s Hospital jersey. The Brookdale Warming Center is a community-wide initiative to help provide shelter and warmth to people and families that are homeless or don’t have proper heating in their homes.

To say thank you to our loyal fans, the first 1,000 fans in the arena will also get a team photo from the 2020-2021 Coffey Cup Champion Macon Mayhem. Saturday also welcomes back the Texas Roadhouse Family 4 Pack. The Family 4 Pack includes 4 Upper Bowl Tickets, 4 popcorns, 4 drinks, and a $30 Texas Roadhouse gift certificate

“This year has been an exciting ride for all of us,” quoted Blair Floyd, General Manager/Partner.  “It’s nice to take a step back and appreciate how successful this team has been. We decided to show our gratitude by giving back to two wonderful organizations here in middle Georgia. When our partnership group took over the team this past summer, we wanted to become fully entrenched in the Macon community.  We feel as if we are on the right path to do just that.”
