Stili Goes Silly as Mayhem Blank Bulls

Macon, GA – After being shutout the night before, Macon would blank the Birmingham Bulls on Saturday night. It was only the second shutout of the season as Michael Stiliadis turned aside 35 shots for his first shutout of the season. The Mayhem would win 4-0 over the rival Birmingham Bulls.

Early in the first period Macon scored the only goal they would need, as Brendan Hussey (6) lit the lamp to make it 1-0.

The Mayhem would get a pair in the second on goals by Nigel Slade (7) and Devin Brink (10) to take a commanding 3-0 lead.

It would be a scoreless third until Caleb Cameron’s (5) empty netter gave Macon a 4-0 win.

The Stiliadis shutout was his first this year and just the second this season. The only other shutout was by Dillion Kelley, who is currently in the ECHL, when he blanked the same Bulls squad 3-0 on December 2 in Birmingham.

The Mayhem return to action when they take on the Pensacola Ice Flyers on Thursday, March 3. It’s Thirsty Thursday with a 7:30 PM puck drop. For tickets, go to or call the Macon Coliseum box office at 478-751-9232.
