MACON, GA – The Macon Mayhem today announced a new player signing, Mike Falanga.
Falanga, a 25 year old forward out of SUNY-Plattsburgh, signed a professional tryout agreement with the Macon Mayhem on Tuesday. The professional tryout agreement will last 5 games and offer the Mayhem hockey operations personnel time to evaluate his skill set. The 5’7″ forward had 7 assists this season with SUNY-Plattsburgh, a Division III school.
“We expect Mike to come in and compete at a high level, ” said Head Coach Zac Desjardins. “Speaking with his coaches, I believe that he is a prospect with a tremendous amount of potential. From what I’ve seen on film and heard from his coaches, he’s the type of guy we want, someone who isn’t afraid to go to work and win his individual assignments. We are excited to see what he brings to the locker room.”
Falanga is expected to suit up for the Mayhem for this weekend home series versus the Vermillion County Bobcats for his professional debut.
