Mayhem Soar Against Ice Flyers to End Year on a High Note

Macon, GA – Determined to break their 10-game losing streak against the Ice Flyers, Macon won against the Ice Flyers finally. In a 3-2-1 countdown approach, the Mayhem scored a trio of goals in the first, a pair in the second, and one in the third to beat Pensacola in convincing fashion by a final score of 6-2 in their final game this season.

Zak Lambrecht (17), the Mayhem’s leading goal scorer, started it off with a wrist shot that made it 1-0. Then Caleb Cameron (11), who assisted on the Lambrecht goal, had Zak set him up to make it 2-0. Devin Brink (13) was also in on the action to give the Mayhem a 3-0 lead after one.

In the second period, Zak Lambrecht (18) netted his second of the game to give Macon a commanding 4-0 lead. Pensacola’s Jan Salak (5) broke the shutout and made it 4-1. The Mayhem regained a four-goal advantage when Mikkel Joehnk (4) put them up 5-1.

In the third, both teams exchanged goals as Brandon Tucker (11) scored for the Ice Flyers and Chris Hunt (3) scored for the Mayhem, which would be your final of 6-2. The victory ends the 10-0 record Pensacola had against Macon this season, and the Mayhem go into the double-digits column in wins with their 10th victory of the season.
